THEM - Awesome Theatre Movie

Over the pandemic, it could have been so easy for Awesome Theatre to do nothing. To sit and wait out the pandemic and hope we could get back together to do a live show.

But Awesome Theatre didn't want to do the easy thing. Awesome theatre wanted to take what small amount of money we had set aside for a live show (and anyone who does small theatre in the bay area has a good idea what our budget was) and turn it into a movie. In an insanely short amount of time and an insanely small budget and an instantly small crew...we did it. 

Under the direction of Nikki Meñez and written by J. Elliott Mendez and shot (and largely produced by) Colin Johnson THEM is an incredible feat of human energy during a time when it was hard to get the energy to get out of bed. 

We invite you to Tabard Theatre on June 20 for a 7pm showing of one of the projects I am most proud to have been even a small part of. It's a movie that takes the zombie story and looks for its roots. The monster isn't gone, but the fear of what it means changes.
